Xocomil: Waterparking, Guatemalan Style!

As a special year-end, going away gift, Adam, a very long-term volunteer, treated the staff and kiddos of the Family Support Center to a day at Xocomil, the amazing water park near Xela.  Xocomil is about an hour or so outside of Xela, so we rented a bus and made our way to the much lower elevation.  The warm weather was a real treat!

The kids were so excited when we picked them up in Llanos.  We loaded the buses and headed south to Reu.

During the bus ride we got to see Santiaguito erupt from the south instead of the north!

We arrived around 10am and the kids enjoyed a full day in the pools, wave pool, and on the various water slides.

Thank you Adam!  It was a fantastic day that would not have been possible without you!
